Close to 2016…

It’s dangerously close to 2016. And I’m very close to making my final & solid choices for the triathlons I’m doing next year. One is in concrete – the OBX sprint in September. Done, paid for, check!  I’m def doing the Ramblin Rose in October which I’ll register for this weekend (so, almost done). But the rest….the other 3, those are the tricky ones.

My girley girl Ashley (shout out if you’re reading this girley!) gave me some Lock Laces which I’ve been wanting to try and a tri “bible” which I’ve been thinking about buying as well.

Tomorrow I’m going to a real swim coach – with other triathlete ladies. Wait, I assume they are all ladies, but maybe not…crap. And in the spring I’ll have a running coach, a coworker who is leading a Couch to 5K for us. I need to spend more time on the bike, but at least this is a start. I’m starting to run out of excuses for why I can’t do this! (other than the usual – time & money)

So I’m finalizing my plan and wondering…How exactly did this happen? I’m so damn slow but have gravitated toward this little thing. Life is weird. You never know where you’re going to end up. And you never know who’s going to influence you, support you, (or not) on your journey. I “blame” a few people for this but my virtual BFF and hero Meredith at Swim Bike Mom is at the top of my list for encouraging me from afar.

Thanks, I think.
